1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Reel Links & Metadata: When you save a reel, we store its Instagram URL and associated metadata (captions, uploader handle, tags, timestamps) to provide search and organization features.

Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google for bulk import, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture URL from your Google account. This information is used to create and manage your account.

Instagram Data Export: When you use the bulk import feature, you upload your Instagram data export (JSON format). This file is processed client-side to extract reel links. The export file itself is not stored on our servers - only the extracted reel links are saved to your vault.

Usage Data: We collect basic usage data such as pages visited and feature interactions to improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to operate, maintain, and improve SavedStash. This includes processing saved reel links, providing search functionality, managing your vault, and authenticating your account via Google sign-in. Your Google account name and profile picture may be displayed within the app to personalize your experience. Users will be notified via in-app notifications about service updates and new features.

3. Data Storage & Security

SavedStash stores only Instagram Reel links, not the actual video files. The reels are fetched and played directly from Instagram. We implement industry-standard encryption in transit. Your Google account session is managed securely via OAuth 2.0; we do not store your Google password. The Instagram data export file you upload for bulk import is processed temporarily and not retained.

4. Third-Party Services

Google: SavedStash uses Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us according to Google's Privacy Policy. You can revoke SavedStash's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions settings.

Instagram: SavedStash interacts with Instagram to fetch reel metadata and video content. We are not affiliated with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or Meta Platforms Inc.

5. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your saved links at any time. You may delete your account and associated Google account information by contacting us. You can also revoke Google Sign-In access from your Google Account settings. Contact us to request data portability or deletion.

6. Data Retention

Your reel links and account information are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Instagram data export files uploaded for bulk import are processed in real-time and not retained after processing.
